Did I Mention Gaming

Did I forget to mention the Gaming in the Library program? Electronic, board, and card games can be checked out when it is time to let all that new information settle into the memory banks.

  1. Good idea to have games available. At UTD they had games available at the student union, which was right across from the library, but often was very noisy. Having board and card games available in the library suits students who like to have their break from studying be a bit more quiet. Besides, not having to leave the building might increase the odds of going back to studying after the break.

  2. I think gaming in the library is a great idea. This library seems to have a good set-up. I like the time limit on the games. I think this would limit some of the noisiness that gaming, especially video gaming, produces. If the gaming area is away from the study areas, this ia a great tool to have to keep students in the library.

  3. It would be intersting to see how gaming in an academic library is different from gamin in a public library.

I am all for gaming in public libraries.
